Delete Your Account

Applies to the EMCY app by EMCY (emcy.in)

You can request deletion of your EMCY account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

Delete from the app

Open EMCY and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is immediate. If an emergency is in progress for you or a dependent you manage, deletion is blocked until the emergency is resolved.

Or request deletion by email

Email support@emcy.in with the subject line "Delete my EMCY account", sent from the email address on your account (or include the phone number you registered with so we can verify it's you). We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account (phone number, name, email, profile photo).
• Your medical profile (blood group, allergies, conditions, medications).
• Your emergency contacts and any dependent profiles you manage.
• Device and push-notification tokens.

What may be retained

• Emergency case records involving a hospital response may be retained in de-identified or minimal form where medical record-keeping or law requires it.
• Records we are legally required to keep, for as long as the law requires.
